Welcome to Last Man Stands DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Foundation, a community-based organization (CBO) committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through organized sports. Established in April 2022, our foundation is dedicated to supporting equity-deserving groups (EDGs) by removing barriers and increasing their participation in organized sports.
Our mission is to provide equal opportunities for EDGs, including amateur youths, newcomers to Canada, refugees, women, BIPOC individuals, and the 2SLGBTQQIA+ population, to engage in sports that align with their busy lifestyles. We believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment where everyone can experience the transformative power of sports.
One of our key community-based programs is our newcomers program, primarily aimed at the City of Surrey, BC, which provides opportunities for newly arrived individuals and refugees to embrace cricket and other sports. Additionally, our indoor cricket program caters to the same community, offering year-round playing opportunities and addressing the mental health needs of cricket enthusiasts who may only have limited summer months for outdoor play.
We are committed to delivering games and trainings to identified EDGs at minimal to no cost, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder participation. By doing so, we create a level playing field where talent and passion can thrive.
If you are interested in supporting our foundation as a sponsor or volunteering your time, we invite you to reach out to us at [email protected] or call/text us at +1-778-863-8693. We also encourage members of the EDGs mentioned above to contact us, as we are here to support and uplift your involvement in sports.
Join us in our mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through community-based sports. Together, we can make a lasting impact and empower individuals to embrace their potential on and off the field.
Thank you for being a part of Last Man Stands DEI Foundation.
